Eleanor Ward has committed to trekking 100km (62 miles) non-stop from London to Brighton in order to raise money for a cause that is very close to her heart. Friend of the Collins family, Eleanor knows exactly how vital the work done by The Trevor Collins Foundation is in spreading awareness around the early symptoms of Bowel Cancer and improving the research into the screening process.
This London to Brighton ultra-challenge takes Eleanor from city to coast in one day and requires a vigorous 16 week training schedule in order to prepare for the trek in May 2020.
Starting off in Richmond Park by the Thames, this epic route will take Eleanor over the North Downs, through the wonderful Surrey and Sussex countryside to the halfway point at Turners Hill. The home stretch will take Eleanor over the South Downs before the welcome sight of the Brighton coast line comes into view. This unforgettable journey is no walk in the park!
